Who We Are
Hope United Network combines the resources of The Lighthouse (Child Advocacy Center) and the Cathy Mabry Cloninger Center (Domestic Violence Shelter) so that anyone currently experiencing or who has ever experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, elder abuse and/or childhood sexual abuse can get the help they need in one safe place.
Available Services
I am in danger and have nowhere to go
We can assist you in identifying alternative housing options for you (and your children). Entry into an emergency shelter can also be an option. *If you are immediate danger please call 911.
I don’t feel safe and I don’t know what to do.
We help you develop an individualized plan for your safety to determine what supports can be put in place to help you (and your children) feel safe
What can I do to make sure they do not come around me or my children?
We can provide assistance in obtaining a Protective Order or other resources. An advocate can accompany you through this process. *This does not guarantee the intended result, the success of a Protective Order is determined by your abuser’s compliance.*
I could use help in getting clothing, food, and household items.
We connect you with local community resources that fit you or your family’s individual needs including public assistance
I want to work with law enforcement to help keep me safe
We partner with law enforcement and can support you through the process
I am unfamiliar with the court process
We can assist with your civil and/or criminal case through linkage to legal services and contracted attorneys
I have Emergency Needs
Help connecting to local resources that meet emergency needs for food, clothing and other items
I want to work
Advocates will link you to community businesses and agencies who are committed to assisting survivors with employment opportunities
I want to confidentially talk with someone who can help me through this time.
Staff will link you with individual and group counseling
I do not have anyone to watch my children when attending court.
An advocate is available to assist with childcare during court proceedings and other appointments
I have untreated physical symptoms and would like to receive medical care.
Referrals to partnering medical providers
I do not have a way to get to court, your agency, and/or therapy appointments.
An advocate is available to provide transportation to you and your children to court and other appointments

1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men have been victims of severe physical violence (e.g. beating, burning, strangling) by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
Nearly 1 in 5 women have experienced completed or attempted rape during her lifetime.
Nearly 1 in 38 men have experienced completed or attempted rape during his lifetime.
1 in 10 children will experience sexual abuse before the age of 18.
This is not a matter that only affects women.
